The police community relations committee (PCRC) led it chairman hon taiwo in conjunction with CDA chairmen from adjoining communities in which students reside , students union excutives / students representatives from different residential areas , the representative of the vice-chancellor prof enikomeyhin , CSO FUNAAB and the deputy dean of student had the third meeting inorder go find a lasting solution to insecurity off-campus.
The resolution of the meeting goes thus:
• The students union urge the commissioner of police to increase security patrol pending the time various communities employ permanent security guards as students set to resume.
•The commissioner of police will be hosting all landlords of hostels off-campus so as to mandate them to provide adequate security for each hostels built.
The meeting was adjourned to Wednesday 2Oth October,2016 .
